About

Researcher.
Developer.
Musician.

I am a cognitive neuroscience researcher and creative technologist interested in how music, sound, and technology shape human perception.

My work combines EEG research, behavioral experiment design, software development, digital signal processing, audio engineering, and music production.

My background

From interactive media to neuroscience

My background began in interactive multimedia, where I developed an interest in the ways programming, sound, design, and human behavior can come together in creative systems.

I later expanded that work through graduate study in music technology, studying digital signal processing, computational neuroscience, music perception, audio software engineering, and experimental research methods.

Today, I use tools such as EEG, PsychoPy, MATLAB, R, Python, and C++ to study auditory attention and build technologies for research, music, and creative expression.

What I do

An interdisciplinary practice

Research

EEG, music cognition, auditory perception, selective attention, behavioral experiments, statistical analysis, and experimental design.

Software

Python, C++, MATLAB, R, JavaScript, DSP, Raspberry Pi systems, audio plugins, and research tools.

Audio

Recording, mixing, live sound, synthesis, music production, and interactive audio technology.

Teaching

Guitar instruction, academic peer coaching, technical training, and taekwondo instruction.

Beyond the lab

Music, radio, teaching, and martial arts

Outside of research and software development, I write and produce original music, work with recording and live-sound systems, and build tools for independent radio and music discovery.

I also teach guitar, have worked as an academic peer coach, and train and teach taekwondo.
